We spent a week in Paris in late August. A friendly welcome, a helpful staff around the clock and low room rates considering the great location in the middle of the beautiful Montmartre district. The next Metro station (Jules Joffrin) is not even 200m from the hotel. Free city maps and metro plans can be found in the hotel lobby. Get a ParisVisite card for 1, 2, 3 or 5 days as early as possible - there is no easier way to move about. The room was small with hardly any space for our suitcases, but that was expected and there are larger rooms available at the hotel. Breakfast was slightly sparse, but you can always upgrade it later by getting fresh croissants, baguettes, fruit etc from the supermarket (Franprix) or small shops (bakeries!) just around the corner (Rue du Poteau right behind the hotel). Our room on the second floor overlooked the street (great atmosphere especially in the evenings/at night), so there was traffic noise when the window was open. But with a closed window no sound intruded! Though on our floor you could actually feel the Metro rumbling by underneath the hotel... which added to a unique atmosphere rather than annoy us. Overall, a very affordable hotel offering better than average quality and service. We felt very comfortable there!

we had a fantastic stay at the hotel. it was a really enjoyable experience and we will most definately be returning for another trip. the hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. considering the price, we were very pleased with the whole trip and the location was perfect for travelling to the other parts of paris but also wonderful to look around the town.

Thanks for a nice visit at the Hotel Eden Montmartre. Everything worked out very well and the staff were very kind and friendly. Close to buses and the Metro. Only 10 min walk to Sacre Cour with it´s great restautrants and the very nice view over the town of Paris. The Hotel is ok +++ for any travelers such as myself who want to spend the money on other things than sleeping in a expensive bed. Highly recommended! /Roland

We had stayed here on our previous visit to Paris in 2005 and we had a wonderful time, so we had no hesitation in booking here again for another five day visit in August this year. The hotel staff are always very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts good value and the rooms are kept spotlessly clean, but the best feature of the hotel is its location. It is situated right in the middle of a "real" part of Paris where you meet the local residents, eat in their cafes and shop in their shops. There is every kind of service you could need within walking distance of the hotel; banks, chemists, food stores, bars, restaurants and supermarkets, open very late, although many of the smaller businesses seem to close for a month in August, something which seems to be common around Paris. If you want to travel around a lot, the Jules Joffrin Metro station is just 200 metres away and this gives you access to all parts of Paris and further afield by one of the best transport systems in the world. For instance, it took us only 50 minutes to reach Charles De Gaulle airport from the hotel this morning by Metro! An evening stroll up to Sacre Coeur, its fantastic views over Paris and its lively evenings is just a pleasant half an hour for anyone who is reasaonably fit. All in all, I'd be happy to stay here again as often as possible and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely little hotel to anyone who wants to stay at a friendly, cosy, convenient base where you will be made most welcome and will see a charming and authentic locality rather than a "tourist hot-spot"
