We stayed in a triple room on the 2nd floor for 4 nights in mid December 08. It was relatively cold outside but the room was warm and quiet even though it did overlook Rue Odener. The room & bathroom were small but very clean - housekeeping was faultless. If you want o good, reasonable hotel in an excellent location, this would have to be it. Jules Joffrin & Marcadet Poissoniere are in walking distance, ditto buses at Town Halll ( left out of the hotel entrance ) very easy walk to the Sacre Coeur. There is a cafe right next door and also one diagonally opposite to the left, there are ATMs to the left of there, a pharmacy just opposite and a little bakery just up on the next block on Rue Ordener. Out of the hotel to the right, then right agan into Rue Duhesme are a whole rangr of gorgeous little shops to buy meat, cheese, veggies, fruit etc. If you go left into Rue de Poteau there is a supermarket where you can buy all the usual plus beer, wine & spirits, there is a variety stalll on the street outside where you can buy a corkscrew too !!!! Heaps of little take-away shops....We would definately choose this hotel again and are happy to recommend it - most of the reception staff were lovely, only one chick had a bit of attititude and out of the 5/6 that we spoke to over our stay, that's not bad, hey? 5 stars *****

I just returned from my second trip to Paris. Since I`ve been in this neighbourhood and expected a dirty and unfriendly hotel (like the last one I`ve been in) to my pleasent surprise this one was charming. The hotel is clean, not too small for its price and rate, breakfast was delicious and refreshing drinks were available all the time and free. It was a bit funny when we arrived at about 11 am and were sent to a room that was still occupied (lukily there was just luggage), but everything else was great- location, beds, service. Later my boyfriend and me were accomodated in a triple room- so we have no complaints :) And an advice- if passing cars disturb your sleep- visit in seasons when you can keep your windows shut. And don`t rely on your English- most of the staff do not know it wery well. In general- a nice place, we would stay there again.

I would just like to say a big thankyou! Was a lovely stay, friendly and helpful reception. The rooms were kept clean and it was warm at night in Winter/December. If you wanted it cool, you could turn heating of and open doors in the room. The man who worked behind reception gave us a lift to the airport because the taxi did not show up - after working all night on reception and was ready to go home - thankfully we got there on time thanks to him. THANKYOU!!! I would recommend to others. Lovely. We stayed in room 15 on first floor for 4 nights. I did not have any problems with the hotel at all. Metro was close by and we was allowed food/cutlery in room which was brilliant. Thanks again! Bye xx

We stayed at this hotel from May 4th to May 11th 2009. We really enjoyed this hotel and found the service was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned very well and there was plenty of hot water. The rooms are small compared to North American hotels, but we expected this and did not find it a problem. We were not in our room much except to sleep and sometimes we had our lunch there. There are great markets close by, (just around the corner) and you can get just about anything you want or need. We went to a local bakery each morning (Saint Preux) and had a coffee and pastry before heading out. The bakery is just around the corner from the hotel. The metro station is just a block away in the opposite direction and is a very convenient way to get around Paris. Lots to see and do in the Montmartre area and this Hotel is in a very nice location to explore the area. We walked to the Sacre Coeur a couple of times, it takes about 20 minutes, but it is uphill and there are a lot of steps to climb. The hotel has a very small elevator, but it is only six floors, walking the stairs isn't that difficult. The elevator was always working and available when required. This was a very affordable hotel and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Paris. The hotel does serve breakfast (at a cost) but we didn't use this service as we preferred going out each morning. We would not hesitate to book this hotel again when we return to Paris.
